Frequently asked questions
How Zpad works, what it costs, and what happens if something goes wrong.
The basics
What is Zpad?
Zpad lets you launch a coin on a pump.fun-style bonding curve, paired with ZEC instead of SOL. Anyone can buy and sell it on the curve straight away, and the price moves as people trade. You pick a name, ticker and image, set a creator fee, and pay. We do the rest.
What is the difference between Public and Anonymous?
Public: you pay in SOL, and you give a Solana wallet address. Your first-buy coins are sent to that wallet, and your creator fees are paid straight to it on-chain.
Anonymous: you pay in ZEC and give a Zcash transparent address (starts with t1 or t3). There is no account, no email and no wallet connection. Your creator fees are paid to your Zcash address as native ZEC. Switch between the two with the globe (public) and shield (anonymous) icons at the top right of the launch window.
What does "paired with ZEC" mean?
Buyers pay in the ZEC token on Solana to buy your coin, and receive ZEC when they sell. The price of your coin is shown in ZEC.
What do I need to enter?
A name (up to 32 characters), a ticker (up to 10 letters or numbers), an image (PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF, under 300 KB), your address, a creator fee between 0% and 3%, and optionally a first buy. Use a wallet you control. Do not use an exchange deposit address.
Paying and your order
How does paying work?
After you press launch, you get a payment screen with an address, a QR code and the exact amount. Send that amount before the timer runs out (10 minutes). Once your payment arrives, we create the coin, set up the fee split and make your first buy. The page updates by itself.
How much should I send?
Send exactly the amount shown. If you send less, the order cannot go ahead and your payment is refunded. Extra is not automatically returned, so please do not send more than shown.
Where can I see my order?
On the launch page itself. It shows the payment screen, then the progress, then a "Your coin is live" panel with the links. If you reload or close the page, open Zpad again in the same browser and it picks up where you left off. Your order is remembered on your own device only, never sent anywhere else, and it is cleared when you press "Launch another". On a shared computer, press it before you leave. A different browser or device will not see your order.
Anonymous launches also get a private manage link on the final panel. It is shown once, so save it. There is no account to log in to, so that link is the only way back to it.
What if I pay after the timer ends?
Once an order has expired, any payment that arrives for it is refunded to your address, minus network costs. Start a new order if you still want to launch.
Costs and fees
What does it cost to launch?
A small launch fee of about $3 covers network costs and our margin. It is paid in SOL, so for anonymous launches the ZEC you send includes it. A first buy is optional: at least 0.005 ZEC, and at most 1 ZEC while Zpad is new. The receipt next to the form shows the exact total before you pay.
What is the creator fee?
You choose a fee from 0% to 3% that is charged on every trade of your coin. Zpad keeps 10% of that fee and you get 90%. For example, at a 1% fee, a 100 ZEC trade creates a 1 ZEC fee: 0.9 ZEC is yours and 0.1 ZEC is ours. Traders also pay pump.fun's own trading fee (about 1%).
What does "Holders earn it" mean?
Instead of you earning the creator fee, it is shared among the coin's holders through pump.fun's holder rewards. Nobody earns it for themselves, including us. This setting cannot be changed later.
Can the fee split be changed after launch?
No. The split is locked on-chain when the coin is created, so neither you nor we can change it afterwards.
When do I get my creator fees?
Public: fees are collected about every 10 minutes and paid straight to your wallet by the pump.fun program.
Anonymous: fees are collected about every 10 minutes and credited to you. Once you are owed at least 0.01 ZEC, we send it to your Zcash address about every 15 minutes. Each payout goes through a bridge that takes a small fixed fee (about 0.0003 ZEC), which is why there is a minimum.
Your first buy
Where do my first-buy coins go?
Public: they are sent to the Solana wallet you entered.
Anonymous: they are burned. A Zcash address cannot hold Solana coins, so the first buy is a way to seed the curve with your own money. Burning the coins is permanent and removes them from supply.
If something goes wrong
What if the launch fails after I pay?
We refund what is left. Public launches get SOL back at the address you entered. Anonymous launches get ZEC back at your Zcash address. The refund is reduced by any network costs already spent, and for anonymous refunds by bridge fees. If a leftover amount is too small to send, it may need to be handled by hand.
Where is my refund sent?
To the address you typed into the form, not necessarily the wallet you paid from. Double-check it before you launch.
How long does a refund take?
Public refunds are a direct SOL transfer. Anonymous refunds go through a bridge and take longer.
Privacy and safety
Is anonymous mode really anonymous?
We ask for no account, no email and no wallet connection, and we do not save your IP address with your order. Each launch uses a new one-time wallet, so the coin's creator on-chain is not your own wallet. Blockchains are public, though: payments, the coin and its trades can be seen by anyone, and a bridge is involved in moving your ZEC. Do not reuse addresses you want kept separate.
Do you hold my money?
Briefly. Your payment goes to a one-time wallet made for your launch, which spends it on the launch and then sends back anything left. For anonymous launches we also hold your creator fees until they are paid out to you. Nothing is held for you beyond that.
Can I edit my coin later?
Not yet. The manage page is read-only for now.
Do you limit usage?
Yes. To keep Zpad fair and stop abuse, we limit how quickly launches can be started and how many unpaid orders can wait at once. Normal use is not affected. If you see a "Too many launches" message, wait a little and try again.
Is this financial advice?
No. Coins launched here are high risk and can lose all their value. Only put in what you can afford to lose.
